Expecting your "Bound Conscience" to Be Respected?

Check out this quote from a "revisionist" blog. If you think you are going to be allowed to continue objecting to sexually active, unmarried pastors (gay or straight) and rostered leaders in the ELCA, think again!

"We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant. We should claim that any movement preaching intolerance places itself outside the law, and we should consider incitement to intolerance and persecution as criminal, in the same way as we should consider incitement to murder, or to kidnapping, or to the revival of the slave trade, as criminal." —Karl Popper, "The Open Society and Its Enemies."

So I guess the only thing they won't tolerate is intolerance....hmmm.

The ELCA will be glad to see the "intolerant" go.

They don't care to make peace. It's their way or the highway.

They make me sick.

Hey Steve, it isn't all bad. At least there is no more pretending to be standing within the Historic Christian faith and the Lutheran Confessions. The ELCA has made it clear through this CWA that they really couldn't care less about Scripture, Creed, and Confession.

The truth is out and no amount of politicing can change it. Time now for people to make a choice about where they stand and where to go. As I am already out of the ELCA, my choice is made. I pray others will find a truly Lutheran church to go to. The ELCA can no longer be considered Evangelical, Lutheran, or a Church (by their own admission).

Peace in the Lord Jesus Christ!
